Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is a natural steroid prohormone produced from colesterol by the adrenal glands, the gonads, adipose tissue, brain and in the skin. DHEA is the precursor of androstenedione, wich can undergo further conversion to produce the androgen testosterone and the estrogens estrone and estradiol.
DHEA supplements are used in the treatment of adrenal insufficiency depression, induction of labor, and systemic lupus erythematosus, antiaging, bones, alzheimer's disease,brain-memory, inmune system...therefore, it is not recommended for regular use without supervision by a healthcare professional.
Daily dose in women 25mg-50mg of DHEA, and men 50mg-100mg of DHEA
